Saturday morning was just gorgeous. Bright and sunny, cool and crisp... I couldn't have asked for a more perfect morning for my session with this family. We walked around and enjoyed the weather and when little Madeline had enough of being photographed, we walked over to a huge pile of leaves and had some fun there. it was just what she needed to release that 2 year old toddler energy!

My best friend Lauren and I decided to head out with our kiddos this past week to walk a beautiful local trail and snap some maternity photos along the way. Lauren is due with her second baby girl in just over a week so it was time to capture her final days of pregnancy. The foliage was bright and beautiful and Lauren was glowing. Her sweet daughter, Annabelle, hopped in for a few photos as well. I am so excited to meet the new babe!!

It was such a pleasure meeting the Stone family, a new family of four. Little baby Anabelle is just 7 weeks old and was so well behaved. It was quite a chilly morning and she braved the session like a pro - I don't think I even heard a whimper! And big sister Brie was such a ham - and with good reason - she is gorgeous! Dad has his hands full with a house full of ladies, but I don't think he seems to mind! Loved this session!

I LOVE big families! It's not every day that I photograph a family with four children (three who could take direction - woo!) and I loved watching them interact. The children were so adventerous and up for anything - even climbing trees! And I loved how sister Ella kept up with her older brothers and climbed into a tree for her own portrait. I had so much fun photographing this bunch and hope to get the chance to do so again in the future!

I spent Saturday at the home of the Yatrakis family. From the moment I stepped inside, they made me feel right at home, as if we had known each other for years. They were so warm and inviting, so it made photographing them a breeze. We went outdoors to take some family portraits around their property, even replicating some shots they had previously taken years before. Such a fun afternoon!

Oh, sweet baby Charlotte. I was so thrilled to hear about the arrival of my friend's baby girl. She was everything I hoped she'd be - sweet, petite and just perfect. Well, except that she refused to sleep... but with some extra feedings from Mom and rocking from me, we eventually got her to drift off. I'd say it was worth the extra work - she looks just precious!

Ah, the Fall Mini posts are coming to a close. I have so enjoyed sharing a bit of each family's session. I am so incredibly lucky to have met and photographed all of these wonderful people. This family was actually my first session of the day and they were perfect. From their wardrobe, to their smiles, to their adorable daughter with a larger than life personality, I really couldn't have asked for a better family to start my day with!

I was joined by another lovely family for the Fall minis. The Azzari's are family friends so I was so happy to have the opportunity to photograph them - and at such a special time in their lives! Mom is pregnant with their 3rd child (another boy!). We had a great time and I was so glad to be able to sneak in some maternity shots as well.

I had such a ball working with this family as part of the Fall minis. Mom and I went to middle school together and haven't seen each other in years! It was so nice to reconnect and meet her beautiful family. She also recently got married so I'm glad we were able to capture some images that reflected their newlywed love! And her son... boy was he a ham! He loved the camera... and it loved him too!

The Fall mini posts continue! Such a sweet family with two adorable boys, just 19 months apart, who reminded me so much of my own two boys. I loved the way big brother JT was so independent and wanted to do his own thing, while little brother, Dylan, watched adoringly.  One of the first things I noticed was Mom's gorgeous hair - and with good reason! Turns out she owns Epitome Style Lounge Salon in Morris Plains, so pop on over to her website and check out their services!
