The good thing about the Winter is that most photographers get some "down" time. Outdoor sessions aren't really taking place (at least not in the North East!) and there just doesn't seem to be as many babies being born, so the newborn sessions are slow also. I am trying to bask in this down time and enjoy being with my family. I feel like every time I blink my eyes, my sons are growing, and it seems to be going faster by the day. Somehow my baby is already 9 months and my big boy is working on 3... I'm not exactly sure when that happened! Sometimes life gets so busy that the days go by and you don't know where they went. My boys will never be this age again and this down time is giving me a chance to stop what I am doing and just capture the here and now...

What a precious newborn Miss Isabella was! A perfect little lady. Smooth, flawless skin and the sweetest little features. She slept so well which allowed for easy transitions. We also did some shots with big sister Sophia in her Christmas dress and her NY Giants cheerleader outfit (Dad is a huge football fan!). I really adored working with these cuties!

Outdoor portrait season is officially over for 2013 - just in time too since we got about 6 inches of snow today! I'm so happy I ended the season with this incredible family. I loved everything about them. They were so much fun and wow do Mom and Dad produce some gorgeous kids! We began indoors and made our way outdoors to the park. As you can see, we went for a holiday theme and I'm so pleased with the results! I hope I see this family again in the future!

Ok - seriously. How cute are these brothers?! They were such good models. They posed and smiled and genuinely enjoyed being around each other. All in an effort to provide an amazing surprise Christmas gift to their Mama. What Mom wouldn't LOVE to receive photos of her beautiful children as a gift? I know I would! Dad did good with this one!

Oh, Mr. Brady... this little guy gave me and his Mama a run for our money! Between tummy troubles and what appeared be a growth spurt (little man was HUNGRY!), I wasn't sure if we'd get him asleep for long enough to grab some shots. But finally we did - and he sure looks peaceful. I especially love the shots of Brady with each of his parents... the emotion is palpable! No better feeling in the world than the love between a baby and his parents. It was so nice spending time with this family - I hope to see them again in the future!

Sweet, sweet Philippa. My oldest and best friend just had her second baby girl and I was so honored and excited to photograph her. She was a perfect angel, as to be expected - she slept like a rock! In fact, I don't think I have seen her awake yet! Such a good baby and good sleeper (just like her Mommy and big sister!) This really was a special session for me. I can't wait to continue to document her life as she grows up. As a Mom to two boys, Philippa and her big sister Annabelle are the closest thing I have to my own daughters so it means the world to me to capture their special moments. Enjoy this gorgeous baby girl...

This lovely family wrapped up the Holiday mini sessions and believe it or not, Mom ended up in a short sleeved shirt! It had warmed up SO much, which is crazy considering the time of year. We got lucky! Babies are always much happier in the warmer weather and Miss Avery was no exception. She was sweet as can be. I can't wait to see these three again in the future!

There is nothing sweeter than watching first time parents dote all over their little baby. Watching these two and their adorable son, Enzo, reminded me of how quickly time goes. I vividly remember when my first son was this age and my husband and I being in the same kind of new love that these two are. This is why I love photography. This is why I do this! Witnessing and capturing love and the innocence of a young life makes my heart so full. Such a beautiful family...

Next up from the Holiday minis is this adorable family. My boys are in a playgroup with these two sweet boys so it was fun getting to work with little munchkins who I already know and love. The boys are just precious with their white blonde hair and clear blue eyes and their parents are so wonderful and loving. Loved spending time with them!
